Description This Sun flower has long been grown for its edible tuber but, more recently for its flower power. Helianthus tuberosus produces 3-4" bright yellow flowers on 6-8' High stalks. It colonizes quickly to give an established look to ones landscape as well as can be used as a screen during the summer months. Native to the Mid-West. Colonizes quickly in loose soils not so quickly in hard soils.
