Common Name Creeping Phlox Variety 'Fran's Purple'
Regional Names
Botanical Name Phlox stolonifera
Description Phlox stolonifera 'Frans' Purple' came to us through a good gardening friend a few years ago. We now are offering rooted divisions of this lower flowering form (5-6")high. It is similar to the taller 7-9" high 'Sherwood Purple' selection. It has proven to be one of the easier to grow forms for us here at Native Oasis Botanical Garden in Fayette county Georgia. Same as the species spreading to 4' or more wide. Light rich purple starry flowers in early spring as this species is the first to flower. Over time this species will make a wonderful carpet in part shade gardens.
