Description
Quercus marilandica is a very drought tolerant member of the Red Oak family. It prefers to grow in full sun on well-drained sites. Its thick shiny leaves turn to bright red in the fall. This oak makes a good landscape tree for xeric sites and very popular for wildlife planting because it is a consistent producer of acorns each year.
