Description Hydrangea quercifolia is a shrub to 6-8'High x 8'Wide with oak-leaf shaped leaves changing in fall to red orange, red, then purple and persisting until late winter. It produces upright 1'long panicles of white flowers in late May and early June. It has exfoliating bark and is very shade tolerant. It is not tolerant to damp soils.
