Description |
A beautiful, striking, and very underused landscape tree with smooth bark and early fragrant white summer flowers that give the appearance of Wisteria. The compound foliage turns bright yellow in the fall. An excellent choice for a shade tree or specimen tree for smaller landscapes. Tolerant to alkaline soils with a mature size of 30-50'High x 30'Wide. Yellowwood is so-named because the freshly-cut heartwood is a muted to brilliant yellow color, and the
wood is known to yield a yellow dye.
