Description
This species is a large rare perennial that grows to 6-10'High x 5'Wide. The tall erect canes support the palmate dark green sometimes burgundy foliage. It has large crimson to deep red star shaped flowers up to 10" across that bloom from mid summer into the fall. A great native perennial for moist or wet sites where you want to have a tall narrow summer flowering plant. Native to the southern coastal regions and swamps.
