Description This small tree or large shrub is one of the favorite host plants for the Giant Swallowtail Butterfly. Just plant one and the pregnant female butterflies will find it, they even lay eggs on the plants in our nursery. One tree can support a colony of the butterflies. Clusters of flat seed and yellow fall foliage make it a very interesting ornamental. Being very drought tolerant and a butterfly host for our largest butterfly species puts this plant on our favorites list.
