Description Being a professional Puc-Puggee (Muscogee/Creek for Flower Hunter)and having a keen eye for the unusual I find many interesting natural forms of native plants to introduce to the trade. Among my discoveries this is one of my most exciting. Phlox glaberrima 'N3 Hvt-ke Mes-ke', pronounced Hut-key Miss-key, meaning White Summer in the Native Muskogee/Creek Language is a superb selection. In 2009 on an exploring trip in remote places of Early county Ga. in south west region of my state where I discovered this beauty. We took cuttings and have successfully rooted a number of this snow white form and glad we did as the DEPT OF TERROR(DOT)Bulldozed the colony along with hundreds of Trillium underwoodii to widen the road for more Homo earth-eaters. Pale foliage is a characteristic of many white flower selection of Phlox. Mature to 20-26" tall at flowering and blooms starting in May and continues sporadically through out the summer. I have had flowers as late as November:) Pat. pending!
